New Zealand Wicketkeepers and their Stats

Let's get one thing straight.  When Australia played us in the 70's for the first time, Test cricket status started in New Zealand.  Finally we started playing all the test playing nations, so to be fair I started to analyse all our wicketkeepers from Ken Wadsworth onward as they and only they have had a crack at all those aforementioned test playing countries.

Below are two spreadsheets.  The first is weighted for Dismissals per Test Match with Test Runs averages as a second weighting solution.  The second is sorted with Test Runs Average weighted with dismissals per Test second.

You will note that some of those wicketkeepers also played solely as batsmen (McCullum, Parore, Edgar) so their batting averages reflect their whole time batting for New Zealand.

These tables highlight just how influential and good BJ Watling is in the context of things.
