Weather is cyclic

Me and my brother are inveterate weather watchers.  Most times we agree on the weather being cyclic, which means that similar weather patterns appear every now and again in a similar vein as sometime in the past.

Why?

Because nature is cyclic,  Every now and then (say evey 12 years, or every 25,000 years) nature plays the same game in almost the same situation over time and replicates itself.

Which means that the wild weather we are experiencing has been happening before and will happen again.  I cringe when people say the past few years are down to global warming and the wild weather we are experiencing is only going to get worse.  I say not true.  Yes the weather may continue for a period, but eventually the weather will cycle and things will seem better for a while.  That's nature.  And let's not forget, weather records only extend back 200 years max, or have been deduced from archeological records.  It's not an exact science and should be treated as such.

What is another cause for such wild extremes?  Well planetary alignment is one cause where extra pressure is exerted on the Earth's surface through gravitational pull.  Also the Sun's own make up can lead to wild extremes.  A comet passing close by can also affect it.  There are just too many variables that can lead to the extremes that the Earth faces in it's travel through space.

So I implore you, think outside the square.  The way the Universe works has more to play on wild weather than global warming caused by greenhouse gases (if that does indeed affect the weather??).  Gravity sucks, but the weather just happens and in a cyclic pattern.
