New Zealand National Anthem

This takes 1 minute to sing all verses, in both languages.

Beneath our Southern Cross we stand
all glorious in out Native Land
Together as a cherished band
Aotearoa.

Kei raro o to maatau Rawhiti
E whai kororia ana i nga Whenua Maori
Kia rite ki te roopu pihi
Aotearoa.

Our islands are good and great,
where everybody is a mate,
Where love and hope contemplate
Aotearoa.

He pai te pai o o tatou motu,
te wahi he hoa rangatira katoa
Te wahi e whakaaroaro ai te aroha me te tumanako
Aotearoa.

And when that sun sets down at night,
We marvel at our awesome might,
The World as one will reunite,
Aotearoa.

Ā, ka tō te rā ki te pō,
Maere i to maatau kaha whakaharahara,
Ko te Ao hei huihuinga kotahi,
Aotearoa.

  1. Fkn mean my old salt, the translation is fine, as depending on where you stand, in aotearoa, the local dialect will change the translations. I believe that you have used the generic translation which is not offensive to any iwi. Well done bro

    1. Tena koe Dutchie and appreciate your wise words. I'm always dubious when using Google Translate especially Te Reo Maori so your words are very encouraging.
